Internship
This internship will give hands-on experience with an array of skills and requisite knowledge to manage a nonprofit under the mentorship and supervision of the HoOoOo Foundation.
The intern will assist the executive director in a wide variety of administrative and mission-related activities that are engaged in by the HoOoOo Foundation.
HoOoOo Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization with a mission to improving the well-being of children affected by adverse childhood experience.
The intern will not only learn about and assist with the management of a nonprofit but will also participate in the further development, implementation, and management of the range of projects.
At the end of the internship, the intern should have an excellent understanding of both the incredible rewards and the considerable challenges of operating a cause-driven nonprofit organization. All of the following areas of knowledge and practice will be addressed either through direct informal instruction or through hands-on involvement in the management of a nonprofit organization.
Responsibilities:
• Developing best practice policies and procedures
• The wide range of potential financial resources for funding nonprofits
• Grant writing
• Project and program management
• The establishment of an operation of a nonprofit board
• The creation and management of an active volunteer and intern program
• Developing and maintaining a safe, supportive and collaborative office environment
• Creating an online presence and developing useful internet skills
• Developing and maintaining community relations
• Forming a nonprofit identity
An intern for this position should expect to work 20 hours a week for a minimum of 6 months. The opportunity exists that the intern might make a significant positive contribution to the HoOoOo Foundation.
Responsibilities
The intern will assist the HoOoOo Foundation Director daily. As the capabilities of the intern increase, they will take on more challenging work that allows them to gain more hands-on experience with nonprofit management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in management, Public Service, Public Affairs, or any other degree related to leadership and management.
• Two recommendation letter
• A very high degree of dependability and commitment
• Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, Excel, Google Drive, etc.)
• An effective communicator, both written and oral
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
• Outgoing personality with outstanding interpersonal skills
• Interest in making a difference in the community and the world

Development
Internship
Assisting with grant administration during the busy season to ensure grant funding goals are met.
The Intern will be a member of the HoOoOo team, assisting with grant administration during the busy season to ensure grant funding goals are met. The Corporate and Foundation Intern will be responsible for specific administrative duties as well as assisting in prospect research, assisting in grant proposals and reports, and completing special projects as needed. While in the position, the Corporate and Foundation Intern will have the opportunity to observe and learn about grant-writing, common fundraising software, funding strategy, nonprofit budgets, and more.

Compile all the information needed, compose and send the proposals

Maintain records to track the proposals, provide any additional information requested by grant-making organization.
• Conduct prospect research on potential funders.
• Assist in filing grant materials – Includes making copies, creating new folders, keeping file cabinet drawers in order, etc.
• Enter information in online donor database
• Write grant proposals and reports.
Qualifications
• Interest in learning about grant-writing and/or corporate and foundation funding methods.
• Interest in nonprofit fundraising.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and
